It’s the night before Christmas and the reindeer are harnessed
Santa is busy rummaging through his book of addresses
He has grown older and tired and this trip seems so problematic
He used to get into houses through fireplace flews or through the attic
The homes these days don’t have fireplaces or upper floors
These days he has to pick locks and sneak in through the doors
On top of this, Santa must be careful not to set off burglar alarms
It’s so much more complex these days to bring kiddies their lucky charms
Parents these days tell their children that bearded men are to be feared
So Santa may just be met with rudeness or jeered
But still he sees his sleigh loaded and ready to go
And sets out on his voyage with a Ho- Ho- Ho- HO
