 Computtering

Where have all the Crack Berrys gone?
Their addictions sold but for a song.

IPhoneys now rule the rage,
but will they ever selfie their age?

The LGable Gee3 is also on the stage,
Will your little finger turn the page?

That Androidian on your ear,
is such a wonderful surprise.

Sam Sung a song of sixpence,
and spread a packet full of lies.

Spread them throughout the Galaxy,
the ICloud in your cloud never dies.

IPad with fingers gently,
on keyboards long gone.

Can draw without a pencil,
and even compose a song.

On the Surface they're all the same,
trying to keep up in the OS game.

You can Kindle your Fire,
but can't contain your ire.

And Googling your Nexus,
won't improve your solar plexus.

Down in the Dell Venue you can't see,
the forest for the pixels in the trees.

But the As(s) in us MeMOs with ease,
bringing the highfalutin to their knees.

Len ovo yer Yoga if yuse please,
will only barrie it to shoot the breeze.

I am through with puttering for today,
got to get back to my 'puter and play.

No wonder my books aren't selling or getting viral through being liked on Twitter or Facebook! All of my best supporters are still in the Stone Age!

After reading this piece, I can't wait to head back to the woods and hang out in my cave for awhile in blissful peace, devoid of all of these so called necessities of life today.

Oh Yes! You've captured the essence of the ever-increasing-
-overtaking-revolutionized-power of computing so very well.

So many of us have all the gadgets...use them...and since
moving to the cloud computing...can't live without them.
That's fine! As long as we keep in mind..."less is more"
principle of effective/safe communication and when "common
sense" prevails!...When we remain mindful of the prominent
line dividing our-own life and that of others!...with deep
almost...an artistic sense of privacy!...because with a privilege
of "keeping on the top of things" comes the cost of being
"overloaded" with all the information...available and letting
others put our life into the restlessness of Facebook...email
on iPhone...Twitter...text messages...etc...
Every single life's a gift and mystery...its radiance's
worth living for...So preventing the "innerness" from prying
eyes of others...is a priority and...regardless of the technology
developing exponentially...personally will never give up
on a hard copy of a good book...my silent...most constant
and patient of friends...
Wish to remain clear-minded and happy and "free thinker"...
meet the demands of this complex world with healthy "inner
dialogue" of technology-wisdom-science in well balance
"meditative respect"...

Thank you Ron, for your poetic words/warning...call your
network acquaintances...a friend and claim you know them
well...but pleeeeeease do not be disappointed and wonder
whether you have given them the title...too freely...

Hahaha nice read! Technology overflowing us, absolutely. I don't really mind, but can't help but think what all these waves in the air do to our health.

From what I'm reading, it appears that people who should be reading this are too busy texting, or surfacing while surfing and don't have time to respond to my clever wording of the hottest gadgets kids are into today.

No wonder my books aren't selling or getting viral through being liked on Twitter or Facebook! All of my best supporters are still in the Stone Age! ;-)

Twice in my life I've had a phone on a party-line. But I once helped test military satellite telephones. That was more than 40 years ago. Now I have my very own satcomm computer ... still a party-line with the NSA folk. Progress.

Half the things you mentioned I have never heard of. The others, the ones I have heard of I don't know anything else about them. The ones I do have are the DESKtop computer. Cell phone, which I only use to receive phone calls and call people, just like old fashioned phones. I get texts, but don't text back. Don't know how. Don't want to learn.
