Sis calls me on the phone
To tell me she saw a rainbow
I hate to burst her bubble
But I think I saw the end of time
The wind whipped up so hard
It blew a pigeon to the pavement
And a tire blew off a truck
Went rolling and could not save it
Then a wall of water dumped
On us as we tried to drive along
The sky was blackened and swollen
It sure seemed like the end of time
I will tell you that it got better
It was not the end of our days
But it certainly had me thinkin'
That I might better clean up my ways
Very good poem, Lynn. It gives us pause to think. Somehow though, I've always thought when His hour does come, it will be in a blaze of glory, not a yucky old storm. That's what I'm hoping, anyway. Like I said, this is a good poem to make us think!

This write brings back a moment I had once, thinking the same thing...It was 11:00pm, I was bringing groceries home after work...I looked into the sky, up at the stars, as I usually do...and I saw great colors flashing in the night, strobing continuously,
I knew He would appear among this magnificient display!
Well, I'm not sure if I reacted like most, but I didn't care...I was ready...woke all my children up, told them to come outside and see the Second coming of the Lord! They came, they saw, and then they went back to bed" Oh well, I was ready!
