It is a half hour
Before American Idol
I am sitting here
Idle and bored
I watch the digital clock
Which makes it worse, good Lord
I can't even see the second hand
Moving, and keeping a beat
The numbers don't move at all
Until a minute has creeped
And speaking of creeped
I ponder, why I love this show
Is it because of the suspense
Or Simon's eye rolling, I don't know
So before I go completely mad
I will run around the room
That will pass a minute or two
And then what am I going to do
Stopped watching this last year. One can get hooked on the waiting to see who will win. And then run to the phone and call in for who you hope will be the winner and you helped put them there. Yes you can get hooked on this show.

... ooo ... I feel like someone on the outside looking in 'cause I don't watch this, never have seen even one of the shows. No matter. I can still relate to the relevance of an important TV show -- I love the Sopranos and get just as antsy waiting for one of those episodes! A nice write, Lynn.
