I stand before the mirror
And look with unbiased eyes
Is that a flaw I see in me

I want to think I am happy
With who is looking back at me
But sometimes I don't even know
Who that is and if I want it to be me
An interesting psychological perspective, Lynn. I think I know "where you come from" with this. I am often surprised at who looks back at me in a mirror because, in my mind, that's not what I look like and often too, it's not what I feel like. Reaching in to see your soul. "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairst of them all". When you can look into your soul(the mirror) and smile........you know all is okay.

When I look at myself (see picture on my bio page), I see a very sad woman who has had a lot of hurt in her life. The eyes are indeed the window to the soul; I believe that with all my heart! I see you as a beautiful woman who bares her soul and isn't afraid to do so. Very solid writing, Lynn; brava!
