This time in my life
Has many changes
And one is sleeplessness
I wake up and can't
Get back to sleep
Why, it's anyone's guess
I count the spots
Up on the ceiling
I count backwards
Many times
I sing hymns in my head
Then rock n roll
Until the church chimes
At which time I give up
And go downstairs
Where I don't care
'Cause I got
My computer there
I happily plop
Into the chair
And sleeplessness
Is no longer a care
You pen one closer than I want ... older I get, less I can sleep - doesn't help I need a new mattress, can't afford - my neck and back kill me - and there's my twin sis in the other room, snoring her ass off! LOL I hear you - maybe one day we'll get some rest. Excellent expression (in verse and image).
"They" say, the computer might be the cause of certain insomnias...maybe you need a liitle break???? Take care and get some sleep!
