We were all having fun. A non-alcoholic party.
Good food,
great gifts,
three published professors,
PhD. types. Good adult
conversation and then
I opened my mouth.
I don't talk about my
incarcerated husband anymore.
I don't want to cry.
I talked about my dogs.
Someone ask, what
is the puppy's breed?
Before I thought, I said,
I think a Pit Bull RAPED
a Labrador Retriever.
The party was quiet and over.
I went home to my dogs.
While driving, I chastised myself.
Another one for my counselor.
Why don't I keep my big mouth shut...
I could have told a childhood story,
but nooooo...I love my dogs,
China and Baby Buster.
It inspired you to write this piece so, it couldn't have been all bad.

dry humor cracks me up....alcohol or no alcohol...it is funny to me...
BUT...the word rape is still an ify word, some women never get over
as there may have been someone in your group whom suffered a rape...
