God, have mercy on the innocent and pure Keep them safe from injury andharm From gangs, drugs, hate and anger From contention, bitterness, rancor and strife Give them the spirit of spiritual wholeness That they might work toward a decent life.

Just had to e-mail this to my sister in law in New Jersey. She will love it and I asked her to print it and mail to me. Will use it as my prayer daily, it is so sweet a prayer and says it all too.

A Beautiful Prayer!
This is "one of those prayers" when we are trying to put together in words or say how we feel when we are speaking to the Father but they (the words) don't seem to "come out right" as we would want them to! <smile> [That's why the Holy Spirit intercedes for us] This should be a Prayer for everyone to remember and recite!
A prayer from the heart speaks multitudes...I believe the Lord is pleased when he hears our prayers when we prefer our brothers needs before our own. Very inspiring and a guide for many, full of compassion, spirit, and wisdom. Enjoyed this much my friend!

I will read this prayer many times before this day is over, Jeanette. It is a model to help me focus my attentions and my intentions.
It is oft quoted that God works in mysterious ways. But there is no secret and mystery in praying for others. We just need to do it. Daily.
You expose a loving and generous heart, Jeanette. You have spent a lifetime in helping young children. And now that you are no longer in the classroom, you turn your efforts to worldwide humanity. If we all would be as generous and as expansive in our thoughts as you, the earth would soon be filled with nothing but peace and love and Satan would be standing by himself in the unemployment line.
Thank you for taking the ache and pull of our consciences and expressing them in words that we all can share.
