Spiritual guidance

Reaching to you for spiritual guidance,
brightening the day knowing you are near.
Dark, gloomy, storms getting close,
yet internally you calm all the fear.

Outside animals scurry about,
foraging for food to bring to their nest.
Are they so different? Are they not blessed?
Doing as we, always doing their best.

Day by day, year by year,
time methodically passes us by.
Steadfast and devout we pray to you,
remembering all as we continue to try.

Every moment that passes brings us closer,
to that one monumental judgment day.
Standing before Peter asking permission,
to pass through the gates in a humbled way.

Jesus preached and taught us well,
of how to give, embrace, and forgive.
Completely impassioned by God's word,
he also taught us how to humbly live.

Show kindness to others, share good will,
follow in his path, extending a hand.
All mankind shares this Eden,
each responsible as keeper of this land.

To exonerate all, past, present, and future,
he gave his all and died for our original sin.
Each year upon spring's renewal,
praying together through one voice of chagrin.

Died and buried on the third day Jesus rose,
no more emotional anguish, or physical pain.
At the right hand of God, takes his rightful place,
through eternity most graciously to reign.

Never before and never since,
has any man left such a powerful depression.
Powerfully filling our hearts and souls,
with the power of love and spiritual impression.

The time is now to engrave upon our souls,
the devotional, unconditional love we share.
Thanking him for granting us life in his garden,
how much we love him, how much we care.
