Whichever color I chose,
I know you would have loved it,
And seeing your eyes sparkle in delight

Thank you for this journey into the beauty of your relationship with your mother. This was especially resonating with me. Firstly, because of the love you tenderly capture in these lines; secondly, your ability to write of ‘missing’ her; thirdly, the ability to dedicate a particular flower to your mother. This was a vibrant tribute to what reads as a sparkling person. My mother had 32 rosebushes in her yard and even named her modest house in Tenino, WA, “Rosemont”. I ordered pink marble for her grass marker, and I had it enscribed, “I Am In The Grand Library.” She taught High School English for 20 years, and I miss her grandly.
