“How sad and bad and mad it was - but then, how it was sweet”
Robert Browning

Poem Artwork

I sit alone
In the silence
Of the predawn
Hours,
Taking a break from
My nocturnal writing
And allowing my mind
To wander
Where it may.
I think of those
I've lost,
As well as those
Who are with me
Today;
I count my blessings,
Realizing anew
How numerous
They are,
And consider my dreams,
What could have been
And what could still be,
Always grateful
For those granted,
Often in unexpected ways.
I see my life
With all of its
Ups and Downs
And find myself thinking that
It's been a good one
All in all.

That's the kind of attitude that will take you to the next level.

Have not been able to do anything nocturnal except play or sleep. Giving me energy for doing everything I do during the daylight hours. As soon as the sun goes down I hang all of that clutter up and forget it until the next dawn. When I wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed to tackle the day.
