Children's voices and laughter often cause me to feel detached from my own mind and body in a very strange way... Yes, they can take us back and very definitely project us forward, too, as we travel the length of their carefree sounds to places we either remember happily or yet still long for. A wonderful capture, Belle, and you have articulated something I, too, would have loved to be able to express and yet would never have thought to do so but for this. Haunting and yet longing in equal measure. An innocence, vitality and hope in the on-going ever-present. As always, careful and lovely work. xx

I'm enthralled, not only by the words but by the shaping. Your use of a treble rhyme in the last verse gives your vase a firm base and the different line lengths give it lovely curves to its lip. Bravo!
