**FICTION**

I am okay. This just came to me...and so, I write.

Poem Artwork

"THE POET'S DEMISE"

The heart of the Poet is broken,
Her pen lies in pieces on the ground,
Her papers are scattered, ripped and torn,
Her madness absorbs all other sound,
*
The pen of the Poet is silent,
Her Muse no longer gives words to her,
What is a Poet if she can't write?
A Commoner, just like the Others?
*
The voice of the Poet has been stilled,
The words and the Poet are deceased,
If only someone had read her words,
Maybe then she would have been at peace.

A very touching piece Karla. The last verse sums up my whole reason for writing I sometimes think. Great depth from your pen flows constantly. <HUGS> Mikii
