THis is one of the ways we go wrong. Where the promise is not kept. Where info about the promise not kept is hushed. But look, you are dealing with a dishonest system, top to bottom. Some of it will get corrected, most won't. I hope they get proper care for Veterans, PDQ. Keep writing, keep speaking out. s/henry

Some returning soldiers received Purple Hearts medals, I can assure you that them aren't good to make soup when you are hungry, the taste is too bitter.

Compelling write, so true too. We had one returned, in a box, only it was the wrong bloke, big muck up in transit, so his wife was traumatized twice..
They did get the soldier who died back, totally embarressed the GOV haha.

Sis Karla I always enjoy our conversations with you and your sister Karen over the phone. When you told me that you'd written and posted this poem when you nor I had no way of knowing what I posted about YTB HOPE for veterans and their families, it all goes to show one that Divine Providence rules supreme, and praise the Lord all we have to do is obey the call to express our thoughts. If God is in our thoughts and the keeper of perfect timing, there's no telling how many thousands of "strangers unaware" will be blessed, because we obeyed the call. . . to write.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REPORTS?

Well, very sadly, many of us wrote very many reports over the last 30 years about the plight of our valiant veterans, and most of them have been routinely ignored by 'the higher ups.'

So now I write reports about the plight of animals and our environment, and most of them are being ignored, too.

But we must continue - to fight!

Veterans deserve better treatment. Well done Karla
