So very true but assault charges should be filed as well, nobody should be able to get away with this behaviour for although the subject had the strength and wisdom to walk away...the next poor sould may not.
It is truly sad when you give your all, and it still falls apart. I hope you stick to 'your guns' unless you get positive proof of a change in character - like months of counseling or whatever you need to know that change is not momentary - if it's a relationship you'd like to have [if things were different]. Did I make any sense? Gosh, I hope so.
