And very soon, this month, Obama will present a bill to give $892 billion dollars to the U.N. to support its war on global poverty. That's equivalent to a sizeable chunk of our GDP we must pay for with increased taxes if Congress approves the bill! I wonder how much the OPEC countries and China/Russia will be contributing? Or if, they will even be contributing? Our Congress promised two years ago to make positive changes. Where are they. Gasoline has doubled since they took over. Food is up 20 percent in the last two years. This is positive change? I hope Congress doesn't help us any more. I can't afford any more help like that! Jon Michael Willey

This isn't just a recession... It's the beginning of a depression! Bush/Cheney and the rest in concert with Bernanke are printing pallet after pallet of worthless money to keep the stock market artificially inflated so the masses won't realize what's really happening.

They're still billionaires but their dollars are now worth 50 cents and falling. I wish there were a quick solution but I'm afraid "We The People" are destined to suffer under this dictatorship until the puppet masters relinquish control.

Recession doesn't exist in the dictionary of those in power, recession is for you and me and all the apathetic people that let them come to power, be in power and hold in the future the power that only belongs to us.

Why would they admit it? If they did that they would have to admit that they are also the root cause of it. Yet, they voted themselves another fat pay increase to say nothing of the lifetime medical insurance program they gave themselves and the retirement program that is equal to their current pay. A sad America we live in today as fascism knocks on our door. Think I'm crazy? No, the U.S.A. has become a facist state. So sad, and so true! For the little town I live in it is more like depression blues for the poor folks who work on minimum wages and can hardly feed their families after paying the exibortant gas prices. I hate to think what's going to happen if the sitution doesn't change.

So true, Karla; when are people going to wake up and see the condition our country is in, or when are they going to help those HERE who TRULY need help instead of stuffing their own pockets with greed or helping the rich or those who DON'T need help??
