Woke up with tears running down
my face - who knew grief would
follow me into bed? Dreamt of
Daddy - of Mom - of things I wish
I'd said. I'd say them now, if given
the chance once more - and now
I pen words of sadness and, like
rain, regret continues to pour ... . ...
"The greatest compliment that can be paid to anyone. Is to be recalled often and lovingly. When you are no more, when you are, just a memory",(JMW). May peace and serenity invade your thoughts this day. JMW
Some dreams may seem haunting but they are a reminder to us to bring the fondest and most loving memories to mind when thinking of the ones we love who have gone before us. May all your tears be shed for the gladness that memories bring to you. God bless you my friend.

Wonderful writing as always..have a great and safe day...Hugs
Life doesn't always deal the 52 cards it takes to make a full deck just as life doesn't have to be unforgiving for a few mistakes. I'm sure what you never said is heartfelt and heard my friend. Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul.
Karla, I think we have all experienced what you are feeling after the death of a loved one. No matter how much time passes, there will be days when it still hurts...but it does get better with time.
...with honesty you pen the feeling...many of us have...pouring...so that we might recognize again...the beauty of the sun we yet remember...in those so loved.
wishing you brightness in this well expressed poem Karla...

Karla...what everyone says is true. Time will eventually make things better. I lost my Mom 6 years ago and there are still times when I miss her so...it will get better, I promise.
Try to focus on the good times, pleasant memories, days you all spent together in the sunshine all else will slowly fade away. Remember as they would want to be remembered and know that part of them is in you as you carry forward. You are in my thoughts and prayers, allow God to help heal.....
This write breaks my heart I could imagine how you feel, that I did not experience though. Yes both my father and I had wonderful days said whatever we had to say, which was an honest and truthful blessings. That is one of my purposes in life just a person to let people know if you got love better show it today because tomorrow may be too late. I'd rather be called a fool in love vice never loving. However by no means am I referring to you but just a message to all.
We must LOVE WILL WE CAN, LOVE LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW.
These words for some reason human beings just do not want to believe.
Much love for ya' and sis hold on Hon you can do it, you will get there to the peace that you quite possibly seek.
Karla I know it sounds cliche but in time things will get better, we can't live our lives regreats what we didnt do and instead we should honor the memories we have, your Dad and Mom live on in your heart of hearts
God Bless
Michelle~
I know that I have many regrets too... I try to remember that I still have the opportunity to live each day and treat others in such a way that I won't have new regrets...
May peace find you tonight and joy fill your heart with laughter of the good times you shared with your loved ones... Don't hold on to the coulda, shoulda and woulda's they only keep you down. Keep writing... Love Lavendar Jazz
awww I know how you feel--just lost my Mom in Feb and I think the same way sometimes. But try not to go back and question what should have done etc.... we do what we can--and we did what we could. We are only human and did what we thought best at the time.
Amen, Karla. In a poem I wrote some years ago, I referred to my father's pocket watch which I kept on my desk. It stopped right after he died, and I never rewound it. In the poem I wrote that I would
gladly rewind it if I could rewind it to the time when my dad was the young man I never got to know. Love to you Karla. - Gene.
You can write about it and hopefully let it go now, as Bonnie May told me when I wrote a grief poem and regretfully fell apart. I go to bed still with tears running down my face, cannot help it, nights are so lonely, and got up with daybreak today to push myself on my way to start the day. A fight I still put up each day since hubby passed away. You are not alone in your dreams. And sadness comes and goes, Next thing you know you will be laughing about some past memory.
A good analogy Karla ...
Regrets certainly fester in all of us some times, the emotion is undeniable, and you speak of it with poetic experience.
Blessings ...
I am sure we would all love to turn back the clock at times,, and I bet you could fill many pages of the good times you had..... as you always bring us so much joy.
Love and Blessings,
Christine
I am so sorry you had a nightmare. Maybe it was a message to say the things you mean to say and to bite off any words spoken you might regret later?? Very well penned emotion; brava!

Karla, I feel horrible for you. I wish I'd been around when you were going through this. I think we all wish we'd said and done things differently...it's human nature my dear...(hugs) Holly
