When my brother in Utah called to tell us that Daddy had passed away, we went outside and looked up at the sky -- one cloud took our breath away. Can you see why? It was especially meaningful and comforting to us ...

Poem Artwork

... see it in the sky?
The cloud that looks like
a heart?  Was given
me the evening that
Daddy passed away ---
There he is, handing
it down from the sky
to his little girl,
who misses him more
than mere words could say ---
his last gift:  his love,
to treasure always.

Karla,
You are so fortunate to have had this loving relationship with your father. Some of us do not. You cannot force love. He gave you a beautiful gift!

Hi Karla,

I am sorry about your father's death.

That cloud formation was there to show you that he cared and thought of you while passing, or it could be God's way of telling you to hang in there and that you will see your father again.

You wrote a beautiful verse. I can tell that it came from your heart.

Love and hugs,
Patty

The day my mother died, the mountains formed an image of "The Sleeping Incan"... a form lying calm as sleep, arms folded across chest, knees up... just a sleep-- calming me. I think God sends tender mercies like that to us because He loves us. So many tender mercies! When you look for them, it's always astounding the number and depth...
