INVISIBLE, POWERFUL HELPING HANDS - just like the ones that extend across the POND - to our Brothers & sisters in the British Isles - WE ARE ONE!
An then were those that spat at the returning soldiers because a newsman wrote a "scoop" about civilian casualties somewhere looking for that human angle that could give him/her a Pulitzer Prize.

I think many remember and are thankful. I also think those in a position to thank veterans almost-close-to-properly (it will never be enough!) are the ones who conveniently forget. Take heart in the fact that many of us appreciate the sacrifices you and many others made/are making. Love and Hugs,

Not everyone forgets, dear friend, I promise you! Just those who have never stopped to think about the blessings they have been given just by being born here. Why do they think so many "illegals" risk so much to come here? To be a thorn in our sides? NO! To experience what we take for granted, and which veterans like you and my father have insured another generation will get to keep. As Veterans Day approaches I hope our nation as a whole will consider the price of each freedom we possess. It can't be bought in any other way than with blood and vigilance.
You know personally what it feels like , while the rest of us who never served can only think we know. I salute you for your service, and hope I never forget all those family and friends of mine who served. Excellent, poem Karla!
