Poem Artwork

... clouds press down,
weighing heavily on
shoulders bowed by
sky.  Where is the sun?
Gone, like my Daddy,
to destinations, unknown:
how I miss them, the sun
and my Daddy ... both
brought light into my
world.  It is dark, now.

these losses are not quick in subsiding Karla -- the sense of loss never goes completely away of course -- it just becomes a little easier to accept and live with over time -- peace and love to you my friend -- JMW

Oh Karla, your heart is still heavy and hurting and I pray that one day it will heal so you can smile once again. Your Daddy would much rather see you smiling and happy....

Be always safe,

Such a fetching but killer title. It really does take so long (years) to overcome the loss of a loved one. It seems we no sooner do than we may be "out of here" - Of course this is the "musical subject" of my soon to come new instrumental CD: IN MEMORY ONLY - but you say so well with those incredible skies and words...

Your poem reminds me of a phrase I've used frequently: "storms of the soul." There is light, shadow and darkness, and each, in a physiological sense, conquers the other by the nature of our thoughts. An interesting write, Karla.

Karla, it is good to write about your darkness. The sun will come out again, and your daddy's spirit is still with you, just listen and you will hear his wonderful voice guiding you toward happiness and joy.
Peace, love, and light,
