Poem Artwork

... I was one of the fortunate
ones:  you were love.  Why
did you leave?  Too young
--- doesn't seem like twenty
years ago, today, I got the

news that you had passed
away.  Every little girl needs
her Mommy to hold on to ---
my arms are lonely.  What I
wouldn't give to feel yours

around me one more time.
St. Patrick's Day is not the
same.  While others wear
green, color me sad:  I love
and miss you so much, Mom.

Beautiful remembrance poem, Karla. Despite the years gone by, our loved ones always remain in our hearts. I hope you can remember her arms around you and that you will feel her presence near.

Hugs,
Cryssa
P.S. I have missed reading your words and am trying to find the time to spend here at AD again. :~)

How beautiful and on this day. After 20 years! you can still write such a spring-lovely memorial. It gives me hope for my hopelessly 'nostalgic'
character. I'm putting it back in my music...

Karla,
Poignant and bittersweet on a day when others celebrate; of course the sense of loss and the grief remain forever but I wish you and yours a very Happy St Patrick's Day.

Nicely done with raw emotions on the surface of your sleeve...I think we never truly get over the loss of our mothers.

I know where you're coming from, Karla. I lost my Mom at too young an age too. It doesn't seem fair, huh? At least I know she is with God in Heaven, for only the good die young.
