Two more days until my world
stops again, halts in a moment
of remembering, not that I have
forgotten. Can't. My brother's
phone call: 'Daddy's gone.' I'd
just talked to him a couple of
days before --- he sounded
better than he had in a long
time, no hint that two days later,
my brother would do the talking.
Sat on the front porch after the
news, looked up, tears running
down my face: and a cloud
reached out with a heart in its
hands. Reminded me of Daddy
--- I still look up at the skies,
hoping to see him in the clouds.
I love and miss you so much ...

Karla, so many times you've seen and written about dark clouds. Today the dark clouds are darker still. So sory for the loss of your father.

I miss him too, Karla; there isn't a day that goes by where I don't think of our big, strong daddy! Beautiful tribute to a true hero in our lives; he will always remain in us and around us.
