Five years ago today, my big, strong Daddy passed away. ... a little girl needs her Daddy, to hold on to, to hear him say, 'I love you,' to just be there. ... Image © 2013, Karla Dorman, copyright added.

This is Daddy. It's been five years since he passed away. The tears flow, because I miss him so very much. He gave the best hugs. He loved to tell stories ('There I was ...'). He served his country, along with his four brothers. He smelled like cigarette smoke and love -- a little girl needs her Daddy, to hold on to, to hear him say, 'I love you,' to just be there. I'm glad God gave me you ... wish you were still here. I love you, Daddy.
