Why go way up to the frozen north,
To skin poor creatures of their fur,
When plenty riches of this source,
More often right down south occur,
Not need a permit for a gun,
To hunt downtown, make it a sport,
Might for many be much fun,
To use a hakepik of sort,
Though the hide not of its own,
Might easily be shed,
Is tailored and already sown,
And worth a bundle I would bet,
Be fair to all, make it a sport,
Bring dignity to skinning fur,
Make it an economy of sort,
Wherever then it might occur,
Say in Paris, Hong Kong, or New York,
Milan or Copenhagen,
Establish hunting of this sort,
In Monaco too, or downtown, Baden Baden,
So much fun it sure could be,
To see at once the skinners trade,
Would further the economy,
Of all the riches that could be made.©11/04/2011

Cheers for a smarter future, if there is one.

After all these years of protest; after so many of us now boycott Canadian seafood; after so many European countries have stopped buying the fur; and after the melting ice is killing so many seal pups, the slaughter goes on, and on, and on.
Your politicians are as deaf and as dumb and as blind as ours, and that is a horridly sad thing.
Be always safe,
Karen
This is one of the cruellest activities
we indulge in, one that's particularly revolting
to me, bashing in an innocent animal's head
for profit. I thank you, as i've thanked you many times
for bringing these matters to public attention
but just thinking about what goes on always turns my stomach.

Sick. Sick Sick. Thank you for teaching me. Liz
How could humans do such a thing to these gorgeous animals? For vanity? Money? It indeed makes me sick to my stomach.
Blessings,
Christine
