"Ecstasy for Eternity" Part III

Dark Knight

When she got close to the stranger,
she noticed his blue eyes; but also,
the fact that he was older than she.

Yet young in his soul when it came to poetry.
As if by magic, he had prepared a fire, near some logs, and he warmed his hands.

As she approached, she heard him say:
"Tho I am not what you are expecting or hope would be, you may find me to be a friend to have for eternity"

She could see clearly the age difference as well as the books he was currently reading such as:

The Gulag Archipelago
books by Max Lucado
Poetry for Dummies
and Judge Sewall's Apology(One of the Judges involved in the Salem witch
trials)

and she thought" Who is this stranger who writes like this and has invaded my dreams?
and suddenly she woke up in her own bed

As sunlight danced through her bedroom
and poetry whispered into her soul....................

It was a dream?
No I cannot believe it was a dream.
It was Ecstasy for Eternity!

With the morning dew still on the ground
she ran into the woods to recapture
the feeling of this stranger

He left an indelible scent
one that travels with her wherever
she goes in her dreams.

Today, the warmth from the sun rising,
brought her to the seaside,
as she ran toward that cottage

She smelled the juniper and the jasmine,
it was engraved in her soul,
that scent was none other than him.

His crisp blue eyes were filled with tears of joy,
as she walked toward him, arms outreaching.

She ran as fast as she could,
leaping with the faith of a lover's breath,
She knew that she had found her love,
her ecstasy for eternity, finally!
