Angst
Heart's unexpected yearning.
Too many years of months, weeks,
and thousands of miles between,
cruelly mock the vision it seeks.
Heavy metal, disco balls, free love,
hula hoops, and the twist,
enjoyed their places in the sun,
ended, will never co-exist.
Life goes on, as in the past.
God was there, as even now.
Soothes and heals sorrow with
His grace someway, somehow.
