Poem Artwork

An angel died today, closed his eyes and
slipped away
beyond the bounds of earth’s domain.
Our great loss is heaven’s gain.

Host of cherubs sang him home; Christ smiled,
said “Well done,
my faithful servant. Come,
your task on earth is done.”

He showed him world of good below
as they stood
and saw a changed neighborhood.
To even those who misunderstood

he’d given touch of grace, run well the
lifelong race,
left lasting love in his place
that no demon could e’er erase.

What he’d feared he’d left undone survives,
yet lives on,
testament to the power of one
who, while he lived, shone like sun.

An angel died today, rose above
fiery fray,
cut through clouds of endless gray.
Oh that we might walk in his way.

It's not easy to write such poetry when loved ones pass away. That makes the act so much more special when achieved in spite of the pain. I am sorry if you had an angel who died, but your gift of poetry is not left untouched.

Epiphany by Gary Stephens

“We’re going to use nine megaton warheads in space and we’re not sure they’re large enough to be effective. Why would you even consider using kiloton-range surface-to-air warheads as back-up?” The answer was succinct. “Because they’re all we have.”

Chronicles of the HEdge by Jeff Ovall

A true page-turner, Jeff Ovall’s futurist work of fiction peers into the history of a world not yet realized, yet ominously closer than most could imagine. A time in which the past has been reborn and humankind, in all its glory and misery, has final
