3/4 cup vegetable shortening
                           --but her love is tall and grand
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
                           --I want to have faith as firm as hers
1/2 cup granulated sugar
                           --grandma's the sweetest, no one compares
1 egg
        --that's what I was she said, her Angel egg
1/2 cup water
        --for my kisses to swim her way
1 teaspoon vanilla
        --grandma smells so good like flowers and vanilla
3 cups uncooked oat
         --fiber is good for my poop, sorry, had to say that
1 cup all purpose flour
          --her loves is purposeful, it never wavers
1 teaspoon salt
           --to taste, to taste, my grandma has a sense of humour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
           --the only time soda is good for me
1/2 bag of chocolate chips
           --more is better, like grandma's hugs
mix with love
           --lots and lots of love to fill the whole wide world
bake at 350 degrees
            --I love to snuggle with grandma under warm covers
9-10 minutes(for chewy)
            --soft and tender like gandma's heart
My Grandma's love is like a perfect oatmeal cookie
            --YUMMY!

(This is grandma's recipe and yes,  did I leave out one or two secret ingredients?  Hmm)
