E-Mail From Heaven Follow this link to listen to my recital of this poem Two nights ago I had a strange dream: I dreamed I was sitting above some clouds, writing e-mail and sending them off to you. I'm not a dream interpreter so I don't know what it means. But I think by knowing you has made me feel so happy and good inside that I felt I was in heaven, sending and replying to your e-mail. The pessimist perched on my left shoulder wants to say that love is an illusion, or projection at best, but the optimist sitting on my other shoulder just challenged the pessimist to a duel and dispatched his opponent. I guess that's a frusty, overly conflicted way of saying 'love is what one makes of it' and you have clearly constructed a meringue castle from the stuff of dreams that is both tasty and mimetic. I enjoyed listening to you recite one this, as well, Sandie!
