Small winged creatures dance gracefully flittering over windswept stockings,
As time passes, easily, gathering momentum through tickings and tockings,
And children play, noisily, amidst the watchful eyelids of mindful mothers,
While fall fades away, colourfully, admitting cool, chilly breezes and others.

Dropping foliage litters bald worn grounds, lined now in shades of browns,
As barren trees stand erect, soundless, echoing abrasive noise through towns,
And glaring sunshine emits not a single measure of hot, bone-warming heat,
While clothing tucked, here and there, manage to warm barely, but the seat.

Hats and mittens dawn, as temperatures plummet downward to reach zero,
As firefighters wander, gathering all good tidings, beckoning the local hero,
And snow covered grounds, welcome into being a new season grown strong,
While dips and dashing enter shopping malls, it’s Christmas before very long.
