Castle At War

A sacred circle is drawn, defenses are taken
as mystic spells of light and magic are uttered.
With white candles lit, the gloom of evil is shaken,
while a long hidden room is magically un-shuttered.

A proud fortress, so tall and once so strong,
lies abandoned, forgotten and faded.
She waits for a hero or knight to come along
with wishes and dreams that are jaded.

Above a starlit sky, some clouds and a full moon
throw down a mixture of shadow and light.
Bubbling cauldrons, being stirred with a spoon,
are cooking up a brew to help in the next big fight.

A scintillating sky, full of dark and electric blue,
brings thoughts of fancy and freedom to flight.
Witches and Wizards walk barefoot in the dew
to prepare to bring forth a new Dawn of Light.

I was there! imagery is perfect!
puts me in mind of the summer solstice just gone!
Witches and Wizards walk barefoot in the dew
to prepare to bring forth a new Dawn of Light.
Love those lines!
