Stars begin to peek out with twinkling effervescence.
The moon rises with a majestic and royal flourish,
then glides through the sky with her usual regal display.

The sky deepens to a rich velvet blue.
Time seems to slow down and
normal sounds seem to be more hushed.
The nightly landscape fades to a darker shade too.

What wonders and enchantments does Night bring?
Doesn’t magic seem to be more believable now?
Believing in fairies and elves seems more natural too.
Just beyond hearing, Night seems to laugh and to sing.

Meteors flash across a hushed and expectant sky
Fireflies blink madly, as a child runs after them.
A fish, in a dark pond, leap up at the moon’s light.
Wild birds try to catch the meteor as it flies by.

Time itself seems to slow down to a crawl.
Night seems to last much longer than it should.
Everything seems to happen in a slower pace.
Hours pass by without seeming to at all.

As the moon glides toward the horizon, she is delicately yawning.
The stars, her attendants, follow her queenly lead.
There are stirrings in the forests and the trees.
The sun rises grandly, with bright radiation, to bring a new day to dawning.
