Mon Dieu! It is very hot today!
It's the kind of wet miserable heat that
can feel as if your skin is melting away.
I guess, as a Southern girl, I should be used to the heat.
In the Deep South, though, we have central air everywhere!
The North has wall units. These won't cool beyond ten feet!
True the hot weather only lasts a few weeks each year.
It's just that those weeks are hot beyond belief.
Central air is much cooler and cheaper an expense to bear.
But no! You can't tell these guys anything at all!
So, here I sit…hot, miserable and steamed.
I guess I'll have to wait to finally feel cool again in the fall!

I don't mind sweating it out by my own doing... but to be hot due to the weather, I would not be happy either! lol Rarely hit the 90's in Hawaii the average is upper 80's w/tradewinds. ;-P (((hugs))) great write Kali!
I have the window ones too all over, and just turn them on when I'm going to be in that room. Cooking not a problem, but dont ask anyway. Nice fun read Silver

ROFLOL... Oh I can relate to this.. Its been unseasonably hot in MN and I have that dreaded window AC. It cools one room to the point of needing a sweatshirt and socks, but the other rooms in the house.. uff da. Hot is right. And don't anyone dare ask me to cook. No way.. LOL
