Winter is all dressed up in her favorite shade of white.
Her necklace of stars shines with a bright diamond light.
Bundled in a heavy mantle of thickly piled snow,
her ebony eyes have a deep romantic glow.
From her delicate ears hang icicles, a shimmering sight.
She is all dressed in the colors of glimmering moonlight.
Some say she is bitterly cold; has no colors and isnt a bit cheerful or gay.
I see her full of familial gatherings, bright sights, and can be as warm as May.
Up in her skies, the seven sisters come and gather to dance.
In the warm and gentle glow of fires, lovers make romance.
In the bright lights of Christmas, sounds and colors collide.
In the songs, seasonal gatherings and parties, sorrow runs to hide.
Yes, the days are shorter and the trees are stark and bare.
But in the glow of candlelight, beauty is found lingering there.
The season may seem long and the cold deep and chilling.
But warmth, fun and passion are always in the willing.
Winter gathers her robes around her as she walks the chilly nights.
Pale fingers stroke the landscape as the moon reflects the snowy sights.
Scents of pine, bayberry candles and wood fire enhances the picture very much
and ebony eyes flash with amusement at the sight of Jack Frosts artistic personal touch.
