I found it just easier to laugh...

Laugh and the World Laughs with You
 
What fun it is to laugh, especially when those around laugh too.
It’s like a contagious fixation when they are laughing with you.
But when you cry people disappear like you have an infection.
They can’t get out fast enough as if they’ll get your affliction.
 
Why is that I wonder, when one emotion chases them away?
And the other emotion makes them want to stay?
I think we get pulled in no matter which emotion is displayed.
One makes us want to run, the other to stay all day.
 
So I’ll keep on laughing because I enjoy people around.
I’ll bring to a halt my crying, so people don’t leave town.
What difference is it really; it’s an emotion just the same?
One repels like the plague, the other keeps you sane..

It does keep us sane...and far too few really know how to do it anymore! I work hard to try and teach my children to laugh at themselves...I figure that if they can laugh at themselves first, it will save them a great deal of pain. Look at how laughing diffuses awkward situations...
a great trait in all... hee, hee...

Laugh...yes, as the world doesn't laugh at me...all will be well, or I will be calling Bonnie to tell one of her funny stories and the world will change its tune!

Doesn't that just bite???? We need people to celebrate our joys and help us through the turmoil. Sadly, most folks just don't want to take the time to be a part of who we truly are ...... so we laugh cause we need them.

I saw the other day on the news where recent studies have proven that laughing actually lowers the blood pressure and also helps relieve depression. There are clinics where people go to laugh! Great write my friend with much truth...well done!
