How many times we wish we could escape lifes problems and heartache. I'm no different.

Poem Artwork

I Want to Live in a Bubble!

I’ve decided I want to live in a bubble.
Where I would be protected from a life of trouble.
Nothing could penetrate it, nothing could get through.
I’ll start a new phase, I’ll start something new.

Just think of it, no germs to make you sick.
No, colds, chills, fever, you take your pick.
Just me in the plastic bubble all healthy and sound.
Not a thing to make me sick, no ones around.

How wonderful life would be inside my protective place.
Not feeling pain or heartache, be completely encased.
But if I was to go into that private place, I’d be all alone,
Not a soul to talk to in my protected home.

I’d go in my plastic bubble to the beautiful beaches of Tahiti,
But I wouldn’t feel the water or have the sun shine on me.
I would go to a party where no one could get near.
And see a sad movie and have no one wipe my tears.

I don’t think I could stand it, not for a single day.
I need my friends around me; it’s always been my way.
So I guess I’ll forget the bubble that would protect me from harm.
I would much rather be in pain and be in some ones arms.

If you never felt pain you wouldn't know happiness. I agree with you. I'd rather experience the pain than to be alone. Liz

Bonnie,

Bubbles can pop. =] All we have to do is lean on the Lord, He'll get us through. Well done.

.. Yes,, it is sad that we have to live wanting to live in a bubble... I think of my Grandbaby ,,, can't imagine her ever getting hurt,,, it is all a process... Just have to pray.

Bonnie:

This one reminds me of a movie that was long time ago, The Bubble Boy. It is true that you will be protected by all the life's miserable things; but you are also denied of life's beautiful things.

A thought-provoking piece.
