Football Schmootball

I say, “Football Schmootball” that’s what I think and feel,
Men say we’re crazy for watching soaps which are totally unreal.
But they’re watching grown men in tight pants run up and down a field.
Knocking opponents all over the place for the ball they want to steal.

One bends completely over and another comes up behind,
He grabs the ball and causes chaos every single time.
Then they all start running wildly, this way and that.
Bumping into each other, skinny little ones hit the big and fat.

One throws the ball to a player and another knocks him down.
It truly is an aggressive sport maybe the most violent one around.
Many bones are broken and seems to cause unnecessary pain.
How could something get so popular. that surely is insane?

What kind of person does it take to play that dim-witted game?
It can only possibly be a person who’s lost his ever lovin’ brain.
Men watching are no better, ignoring their mates even if they’re nude.
They just keep on sitting and starin’ at that idiotic bloob tube.

They’re all crazy I tell you, the ones that watch and the ones that play.
There’s nothing that seems to stop the insanity when its football day.
But truth be told, I must admit, that I’m smitten with Schmootball too.
Now what that says about me my friends, I haven’t got a clue?

Heeheee!!! LOL!...My dad used to watch every game they played on the TV. Be it tennis, soccer, or football, hockey...right down to American Idol. He used to sit there and watch them all.

I can understand what you are saying. For me, my best is "So You Think You Can Dance", the "Dog Whisperer", and Judge Judy (she's a grouchy old lady, but she's a cooool judge).

Once you're hooked you're hooked. I think my naked wife would cause me to lose a quarter or two.

I once was a rabid Redskin fan. I still like to watch some of
the college teams play on Saturday. But my attention span these
days is maybe a Quarter (all total). And, well, I don't even
have a nude to distract me. More's the pity. This is great,
Bonnie May. A lot of fun. -gene.
