I have shared many stories of my life with you...now it's my husband's life's turn. This is a True story one that Jim's friend will never talk about or want to relive.

Never Knew What They Ate…!

My mountain man husband is a hunter and goes on many hunting trips,
But this time when he relayed his stories, one actually made me sick.
You see he’s not just a plain old hunter; he’s also an excellent cook.
The creative meals he makes are outstanding and he never uses a book.

He decided on this particular day he’d treat the guys to chicken wings.
He keeps a big pot with a lid filled, with oil, something he always brings.
Hence, he made his famous sauce and dipped the wings in meticulously.
They ate like Kings that night, there was no place else they wanted to be.

The next day they were cleaning up and Jim’s friend Bruce lent a hand.
They put stuff away and decided to strain the oil in another pot or pan.
While straining the oil, plop, plop, plop, in the pan that certainly didn’t entice.
For it didn’t look like the chicken wings they saw, it was six fried tiny mice.

Bruce choked & gagged; his face turned putrid green and he ran for the nearest tree.
And that’s where Bruce lost his tasty supper, thinking of the mice that he did see.
