OH, Here Comes Cupid Again

Little Cupid’s coming soon to shoot an arrow or two.

Oh, you won’t see him coming for he’s so quick and shrew.

If I were you I’d hide that day to keep your heart in tact.

For once that arrow pierces it, you’ll never get it back.

You’re never quite sure which emotion little Cupid brings.

And some people dream of clipping that little fellow’s wings.

Sometime Cupid brings elation but other times he brings dread.

Sometimes he’s on right on target sometimes he’s out of his head.

Sometimes you’ll have severe lows, kind of like the weather.

Especially if those two beating hearts aren’t meant to be together.

When someone else owns your heart & has it at their command.

They can stomp on it and spit it out, or grind it into sand.

But if it’s right, the highs will soar, higher than any expectation.

And the joys you’ll experience will be an indescribable jubilation.

So if Cupid’s arrow hits its mark, the one that’s meant to be.

There is nothing in this world more glorious, at least it was for me.

But before you decide to do any clipping on that Little Cupid’s wing.

Make sure you know for certain, which emotions he plans to bring.
