Riding the Wind

Riding the Winds On the back of a lion she rode the winds, free and wild across the horizon. To ride free and blind by day or by night, fearless of predators guided by the divine light. Following the path of faith within her youthful dreams, she wondered if life is what it seemed. Sullenly awaken by a hawk in flight the journey ended with her destiny in site. Within her heart the memory remains, of the day she rode the lion beyond reality's horizion. Copyright 2000 Tracey L. Hardie

The real picture that inspired the poem is on my website. I was 5 yrs old, I remember the dream of my childish thoughts sitting upon the lion. Silly huh?
