Hiding in my closet
Things aren't what they seem
Here I can escape to the moon
In my world of dreams
No one can touch me
I live in fairy tale land
Where the sun is always shining
And I run in the sand

Hiding in my closet
I can soar up to the sky
Where little kids don't suffer
And they don't never cry
I'm taken out of the darkness
In the safety of my world
Where only dreams can make me
A happy little girl

Hiding in my closet
Praying they won't see
The places that I travel
While they hit on me
Sometimes I just lay
On a fluffly cloud so white
Letting it protect me
From the evil's of the night

Hiding in my closet
I can soar up to the sky
Where little kids don't suffer
And they don't never cry

Oh, what a sorrowful poem, but so wonderfully written. The emotion is heartfelt.

Touching but sad, Linda, reminds you to pray for the children that live like this.

Wonderful write Linda, home is that safe haven for many, but for some children even their home isn't a safe place, such a sad thing to. Hard to imagine how one could harm God's little children. Lovely write full of heart and soul.
Blessings,

There's always a place where we can escape to that we call it our own place. A closet is also about that.

Wonderful write, Linda!!!!! I'm glad to see you on the board!!!!!

What a wonderful world that would be for all the children, if it were only real. But with advocates like you, they do have some hope, Linda.

Not only does every child want to be safe, they deserve to be safe. To be protected. To lay down at night in a warm soft bed, and know the only things interrupting their rest, is a joyful care-free dream.
You Linda, have become their voice.
So cry as loudly and as continually as needed!

Linda,

The thoughts are very sad. Closets hold far too many secrets. Futures are not made by the prison of a closet but unfortunately there are those that feel safe held in its confinement. Bless You Always My Friend.

Very powerful write that again tears at the heartstring of every real parent who loves their children...not the monsters that prey on them.

A true reality check. Sometimes the only relief we might find is hiding in a closet. Very sad. All too true.

Incest, rape, molestation, physical abuse and abortion I cannot stand ... This poem is so powerful no child should be made to feel this way. I pray come quickly Lord Jesus. This old world becomes more corrupt with each passing day.
God Bless,
Joselyn
