They don't know the sun rises
In each beautiful smile
Or that they chase away
The dark shadows for awhile
They can't know that I hang on
To every word they say
Or that they turn a cloudy sky
Into a bright sunny day

They don't know their hugs
Are worth more than gold
Or that the love they bring me
Keeps me from growing old
They don't know their laughter
Is like a beautiful song
Or that Nana will always believe
They can do no wrong

They don't know when I watch them
With their toys at play
Another memory is quietly stored
To bring back another day
They don't know the joy I feel
Each time I hold them near
Or that Nana turns her face away
To hide a silent tear

Beautiful grandkids, beautiful poem. When they get older they will sww this and realize how lucky they were to have you for a grandmother.

What beautiful children! I didn't know you were a gramma...They are lucky in that you are a most compassionate, loving one. What grammas should be. Not all of us are so lucky...beautiful, caring lines; well done!
I can sooo relate to this one Linda with two granddaughters and a new grandson of my own, I swear sometimes they are the only things that keep me going. Kids laughing are the elixer of youth

There is nothing better than grandchildren to the grandparents. I guess because we know that they are gifts given to keep up young.
