Mom ..Dad...Please don't cry -
It was all in God's plan that I had to die.
I'm still your little girl Mom..I still love you-
There is something Mom and Dad I want you to do.
Dry your tear's ...and look high up in the sky-
I'm watching down on you - you don't have to cry.
An angel came to get me - my pain has gone away-
It don't hurt me now Mom when I run and play.
I am so happy here...but I miss you Mom and Dad-
You were the best parents anyone ever had!
Mom..Dad...you understand the pain I was in-
The cancer had spread - no chance to mend.
I was ready to go....the pain had gotten so bad-
Try not to cry - Please try not to be sad.
I never could go play with the other girls and boys-
I never felt like smiling or playing with my toys.
The pain got so hard Mom - I hurt constantly-
Think of what kind of life it must have been for me!
Now I'm at Jesus's feet - he watches me as I play-
It is so amazing Mom, to watch the angels pray!
No more tear's ...no more pain...I can smile again-
God took away all the misery that I was in!
When you miss me Mom, and I see a tear -
Look up in the Heavens....I will be near.
I'll be the brightest star shining from above-
Sending down unending joy..everlasting love.
I'll be the gentle breeze blowing in your hair-
Just think of me Mom and Dad..I'll be there!
I'll be with you in the glorious rays of the sunlight-
I'll be with you in the shadows of the dark night.
Dry your tear's Mom and Dad...for I'm not alone-
Jesus watches over me from His heavenly throne!
I'll always be a part of you Mom..dont cry for me-
Imagine me in total joy on Jesus's knee.
When you miss me Mom, and I see a tear-
Look up in the Heavens..I will be near.

Very sad. I know Zack will be looking down on us and his brother. This hits home all too well. Thank you for caring and writing.
Linda.. what a beautiful poem you have written. I can't imagine anything worse than losing a child. When I was a nurse in pediatrics Oncology I learned some of lifes best lessons from those precious children...
When I was young and my firstborn son died...I wrote a similar poem. It was such a personal loss for me that I lost my faith and pretty much everything else..including the original poem. Thank you for bringing it back to me in this reminder using your words and view in this wonderful write. You have no idea what that means to me. Peace be with you.

Oh! Sweetheart this is such a wonderufl poem. So full of emotions, and you have painted a beautiful picture and told a wonderful story. You have a rare talent indeed to be able to work 'inside out' this way to see a life pass on through the eyes of the person going through the transition would be so difficult for me to do. Lead the way my special friend and my heart and I will follow your journey forever. Love Bill Hugs xxoxo
Oh what precious words you penned. Linda, this is simply beautiful. Your voice here made me cry gentle passionate tears, a relection of my memory for my grampa who died of cancer; Linda he was my best friend.
For me I have felt this line that you so eloquently penned a thousand times since his passing, "...I'll be the gentle breeze blowing in your hair...I'll be there." Oh how your words evoke. Thanks for the tears that are falling. Thanks for helping me remember my grampa this way, again. How I appreciate this moment.
Love,
Marion
This book was written for children to stress the importance of being able to choose who gets to hug or touch them and being able to say NO if they don't want to be hugged or touched.

I am always reluctant to read this type of poem.,
Because I know I will feel sad afterwards.
