Foster home to foster home
I never had a chance
No body much ever gave me
Anything but a glance
Slaps across the face
Not much food to eat
I just hang my head down
And accept defeat

I was never wanted
Just a problem child
No structure in my life
Most think I'm just wild
No one took the time
To care about me
My mama ran away
When I was only three

Passed around my whole life
Now I'm a teen
Ain't much in this world
I haven't seen
I've had to be tough
In order to survive
Fight my own battles
Just to stay alive

If one person had given me
A tiny ray of hope
If someone had cared enough
To throw me that rope
Who knows what
I could have become
Instead of being
A teenage bum

Foster home to foster home
I never had a chance
No body much ever gave me
Anything but a glance

I was so lucky to be loved by caring parents. How do parents live with just throwing their kids away. It happens too often. Heart felt Linda.

Mere Fact You Write About It

(God) Knows Your Compassion!

God) Will Not Do Anything to

Stop It,i.e. Yep Jesus Loves

You-Huh........Humans Simply Are

Blame Do Not Care Until It Is There Own

Wallet$ Or Child Becomes Victim--

Listen To Them Scream-They You All

Become Self Glorified Martyrs!

Sadly this could be the story of countless teenagers that are misunderstood and judged without anyone taking the time to discover the truth....beautifully penned, Linda!

In our ministry we visit a camp for Foster kids.
These kids are tougher than the incarcerated teens we use to visit.
It's rough when you think nobody wants you.
It's even tougher trying to deal with kids who think they have no future.

Still, some find peace with Jesus.

this is tough and grim reality, Linda,
and your understanding of and empathy with these victims,
and they are victims, comes across clearly; you've seen
and dealt with these situations first hand and your great heart
reaches out

Unfortunately, this happens a lot to foster children. It's hard to have self-esteem when everyone is putting you down. My nephew is now estranged from the family because for reasons I don't comprehend, my sister put him in foster care when he was a teenager and he has been in and out of trouble ever since.

Amazing that some get out of this hell hole and find a life for themselves.

Very sad and depressing, I cannot imagine what it feels like to be passed from one foster home to another... :(
