Mama.
I came today to have a talk with you
I feel down, just dont know what to do
Some days theres such sadness I feel
And when I do smile, it don't seem real
Emptiness makes its way down to my soul
Depression has such a powerful hold
Tears come down , don't even know why
These days it seems all I do is cry

Mama.
Did you ever feel life was going fast
That nothing was ever meant to last
Walls around my heart so cold they stand
No one seems to understand
Darkness swirls around me like a cloud
The echos of silence ring so loud
Tears flow down, can't stop the pain
Sometimes it feels I'm going insane

Mama.
Thanks for listening. I have to go
Its cold and its starting to snow
I place these roses on your grave
Minus one tear stained petal I want to save...

Beautiful. I feel your pain and hurt. I found this because I too wrote a poem named "Mama." I love the picture you used. Healing over time happens, but we'll always miss the one who understood us best.

Linda,
I now share the quote on my bio page... I deem fitting," If you show them your heart, all men of value shall embrace it"
and many shall embrace yours!
