There are those that will not accept it when a marriage is over and keep tormenting their ex's.

Set Me Free

By Kathy Lynn

 .

 Fear enters my soul

Each time your name is mentioned

I try so hard not to feel this way

Wanting to be left alone

Looking for an exit an escape

So many emotions, so much dread

Depression is setting in again

Unhappiness fills me making me sad

 .

Each night dreams begin so pleasantly

But all too soon turn into nightmares

I am harassed by my past

So I cry and toss around in fear

 .

The phone rings and I crawl into myself

Trying to ignore its deafening sound

You won’t stop calling me

I retreat into my self-made shell

I can’t take another abusive call

Your vulgarity is wearing me out

All the snide remarks you make

.makes me angry and want to shout

.There is no chance for you

Can’t you open your eyes and see

I left you a long time ago

I had to run and be free

 .

I don’t understand your attraction to me

Other women fall all over you

Your nights are not lonely

Why must you torture me

Just when I feel safe and happy

You crawl out of your hole

Get drunk again and torment me

Go away-----set me free

 .

Sometimes they never accept it's over, the law has to step in and handle these matters before theres damage done to another innocent person. Thank you for sharing Kathleen.

The reader can feel the emotional stress that you have elicited by describing this awful situation through your verses, Kathleen. Well done. Love and best wishes,

Regis

All too often this is a truth instead of a scenario and you offer us all, but especially us men a brief glimpse into what life becomes when foreced to live like this.

Sad that some people can't leave the other alone after they've broken up! This is when the law needs to get involved! Chilling write; well penned, Kathy!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(
