Nightmares often haunt me as I try to rest.

Nightmares By Kathy Lynn Late at night the nightmares begin, demons know when I am weak. Creeping into my bedroom, into the other world they drag me As I lie asleep. There are quagmires there, nettle bushes pull at my hair. I hear the screams of others, sounds piercing my ears The insidious tortures, they know so well. Demons looking for souls, carting them off to hell. Sweating I wake in fright. No more sleep will I get, another unholy night

Night terrors and painful flashbacks are the ghosts that rob me of sleep, this is the life of a Shadow Child. I can relate to this well expressed write! HUGS! SC

I have not had nightmares for years now but I used to have them as a child. Fortunately now I have a lot of dreams and they are usually good. I empathize with you and I hope that your nightmares will become lovely dreams, Kathy. Love, hugs, and best wishes,

Our nightmares all too often reflect our daytime fears or our past real life nightmares. They are not easy to subdue or defeat. Good write Kat. Well done.

I hate nightmares. Mine are not as you describe, but are real life situations...I always try to go back to sleep and complete the dream in a better way, but the trouble with nightmares is that it is almost impossible to do...
