Sometimes I wonder what life has in store for me
As I sit here and think in silence
I bow my head and to god
I enter my solemn plea

each and every day
sometimes they bring such sadness

take me from the shadows of life
into the warmth of the sunlight
let my heart refoice
as your light transforms the night

Dear Lord, send me someone that cares
send him quickly to reside in my heart
bringing a smile into my life
open up the door and let him walk through
