Shades of Blue

I see the world in shades of blue
From the lightest sky to the darkest hue
Sunshine light with happy faces
The darkest shades take us to Satan’s places

There is the light that most of the world does see
Full of laughter and smiles and happy beings
A joyous chorus of people from all races
Each holding hands and taking their places

But then the colors turn dark as night
Where most do not get to see the light
They live their lives in sadness and fright
Navy blue is this sky shining tonight

Shades of lightness turn to dark
As on this road of life we embark
For some will stay in the middle ground
While others fall into the dark beyond

Forever more to wander aimlessly

Into the realm of uncertainty

Afraid to come into the light of blue

Angry souls caught in the dark lights hue
