Twas on the 11^th of September

The battle of Stirling Bridge began

William Wallace and Andrew Moray

Were in charge of all the men

Twas to their advantage that

The bridge was nae to wide

For only two horsemen could cross

As they rode over side by side

The Scots held back their charge

Until half the English had crossed over

The river Forth;  then they attacked in force

Killing the English Calvary as

Quickly as they could cross

Andrew Moray was wounded badly

As valiantly he fought that day

“Slain at Stirling, fighting against

The English king”, they say

When Wallace returned from

The battle that was won

He was knighted by Robert the Bruce

And made the “Guardian of Scotland”
